Syncopate offers private music and music theory tuition on a range of instruments, delivered online by our dynamic and experienced tutors. We know that each student has particular areas of interest, and with packages including Focus On: Exams, My Music, and Little Learners, we believe that each and every student can find the perfect fit for their learning.
Packages are purchased and run per term, within NSW school term dates and on NSW (AEDT) time, albeit for students all across Australia.

Focus On: Exams Package.

Our Focus On: Exams Package provides the best basis for students seeking to do music exams, whether AMEB, Trinity or Rockschool. This package seeks to help students set goals and ascertain the best type of exam and level for them, with an initial goal-setting session; and then work towards those goals in their subsequent lessons. The package contains their appropriate exam book (or a method book if they already own their exam book) for the first term, and then access to Syncopate’s online video content in subsequent terms, which features warm up exercises, sound bites, and technical development videos from our teachers.
If your child is interested in continuing with exams, or getting started on them, this is the package for them!
The Focus On: Exams Package (first purchase) contains:
Initial 40 minute goal-setting/level ascertaining session
Subsequent weekly (9 for the remainder of the term) 30 minute lessons with their teacher, or fortnightly 60 minute lessons, based on student preference and teacher availability
Appropriate exam (or method) book, mailed home (please note that this is the primary exam book, not any supplementary pieces or books)
Subsequent terms of Focus On: Exams, contain:

My Music Package.

Our My Music Package is for students looking to progress on their instrument, with a focus on learning for enjoyment, and on setting personal goals relevant to them. Whether those goals lean towards playing in bands, performing live, or simply playing for pleasure, our My Music Package will provide the foundations for success.
In the first term, the package contains a method book, based on what the student is working towards, and then access to Syncopate’s online video content in subsequent terms, which features warm up exercises, sound bites, and technical development videos from our teachers.
The My Music Package includes:
Weekly lessons (1 x 30 minute lesson/week of term)
Method book, based on the student’s desired goals as discussed in the first lesson, mailed home
Subsequent terms of the My Music Package include:
Weekly lessons (1 x 30 minute lesson/week of term)
Access to Syncopate’s online video content for the term
Little Learners Package.

For our younger, newer musicians, this package provides the perfect introduction to playing an instrument, as well as developing rhythmic and reading skills. As we know that our littlest learners can struggle with focusing for long periods of time, our Little Learners package allows parents to select multiple shorter lessons as an alternative to our typical 30 minute lessons. This package also provides access to our live online body and ‘junk’ percussion workshop, which is a group workshop for little learners who are learning any instrument, and provides a fun way to learn rhythms and foundational skills that can be applied to their particular instrument.
The Little Learners Package includes:
Weekly lessons for the term (either in 1 x 30 minute, or 2 x 15 minute blocks based on student preference and teacher availability)
Access to our once-a-term online body and ‘junk’ percussion workshop
